Since the announcement about the new Guitar Support in January we are now stocking the product (available from

We have also tested it and as a result have stated that it should not be used as an alternative to a strap, as was shown in the manufacturers photograph in the January BLOG article. The suction cup was designed to put minimal pressure on the sides of the guitar when it is used in its traditional position, as a guitar support sitting on the player's thigh, and in our opinion is just not up to the job of bearing the weight of a guitar with any degree of safety.
Some users have also pointed out that the suction cup will not work with any guitar which does not have a varnished or gloss finish, which we have found to be correct.
TIP: Should the suction cup detach itself while playing check to see if dust has adhered to the cup itself, thereby limiting its suction ability. If this is the ...
